A free reading screening at Feller School, with results the same day. Not another online quiz. Real answers.
Step 1: answer six quick questions below, about 2 minutes. Step 2: if your child qualifies, you reserve a free seat at our in-person reading screening on Saturday, November 7 at Feller School. A reading specialist works with your child, and a Ph.D. in Special Education explains the results the same day. Most places charge $250 for that. Yours is free.

Step 1 of 2: Does your child qualify for a free screening?
Six questions about what you see at homework time. About 2 minutes. Your answers decide whether a screening makes sense, not a score.
- The quiz is the door, not the screening. These six questions were developed by learning researchers and are the same questions studied for pediatricians' well child checkups. They tell us whether your child should be seen.
- The screening is what's free. A reading specialist works with your child in person at Feller School in a small group of kids in the same grades. The same day, a Ph.D. in Special Education walks you through what the results mean and you leave with a written report to keep. A $250 value, free.
- Seats are limited because a real person runs every screening. There are 6 seats for kindergarten and 1st grade and 15 seats for 2nd through 5th grade. Finish the six questions now and reserve a seat while one is open.
Why the six questions first? The need for free screenings is high and we only have so many seats, so we save them for the kids who show real signs of reading risk. The questions are how we make sure the right kids get seen.
The questionnaire identifies risk and characteristics consistent with reading difficulties. It is not a medical diagnosis. © Feller School · 5405 Flad Ave, Madison, WI · (608) 271-7551 ·
